Gippsland & Latrobe Valley

Video production from inside the Latrobe Valley energy transition.

Turbine Media is based in Traralgon, in the middle of Australia's biggest energy transition. We make training, safety, community engagement and project video for the power stations, renewable projects, manufacturers and community organisations across Gippsland, and we travel anywhere the work is.

Local, and already on site

Inducted, ticketed and twenty minutes away.

Most of our work happens inside the Latrobe Valley power stations and on the renewable, transmission and manufacturing sites around them. We hold current site inductions at most of the Valley sites, we carry White Card, Working at Heights, Confined Space and First Aid tickets, and we bring our own PPE. When a job comes up at short notice, we can be there that morning.

That matters for outage filming, incident learnings, last-minute community events and the small jobs that city crews won't travel for. It also means we already know the sites, the people and the rules.

For projects beyond Gippsland, we travel. Any travel is set out in the quote up front.

What we do in Gippsland

Work for the Valley and the coast.

Power stations and outages

Training, procedure and safety videos filmed during live operations and outages, and station overview films for boards, government and the community. See coal and transition.

Health and safety video

Site inductions, procedures and toolbox talk clips for Gippsland sites, delivered ready for your LMS. See health and safety video.

Renewable and transmission projects

Community information videos, construction progress and milestones for the wind, solar, battery, offshore wind and transmission projects across the region. See renewable energy.

Community engagement

Explainers, interviews and event coverage for the towns around a project, from Heyfield to the coast. See community engagement.

Manufacturers and employers

Recruitment, capability and training video for the manufacturers and contractors who keep the region running. See capability videos.

Drone and time-lapse

CASA-licensed drone work under our own operator certificate, and long-term time-lapse for Gippsland construction projects. See drone.

Where we work

Traralgon, Morwell, Moe, Sale, Bairnsdale and the coast.

We cover the Latrobe Valley (Traralgon, Morwell, Moe, Churchill and Yallourn), Wellington Shire (Sale, Maffra, Heyfield and the offshore wind coast), East Gippsland (Bairnsdale and beyond), South Gippsland and Bass Coast, and West Gippsland (Warragul and Drouin).

Regular work also takes us to Melbourne, the Hunter, Central Queensland and other energy regions. If the project is in the energy or industrial space, distance isn't the issue.

FAQs

Gippsland video production FAQs

Do you only work with energy companies?
Energy and manufacturing are our focus, and most of our work is training, safety and community engagement for those sectors. We also work with the councils, training providers and community organisations connected to them. If your project sits outside that, ask, and we'll be honest about whether we're the right fit.
How quickly can you be on site in the Latrobe Valley?
Often the same day. We're based in Traralgon and already inducted on most Valley sites, so short-notice outage, incident and event work is possible.
Do you charge travel within Gippsland?
Travel is set out in every quote up front, so there are no surprises. Shorter trips around the Valley are usually included in the day; longer drives are shown as a line in the quote.
Can we see examples of local work?
Yes. Some work is public, like the Heyfield microgrid films. A lot of what we make for power stations and project sites can only be shown privately. Ask for a link.
